Renewing your Mind

Romans 12:2 NIV

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

John 14:6a  Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life…”

How many times have you looked up skyward? Tired, broken, and scared, you asked out loud to God, the universe or no one in particular: Why? Why is this happening? Why me? Why aren’t you helping me?

What did I do? Why am I not good enough?

Does this sound familiar?

Raised Catholic, it was ingrained in me of how much of a sinner I was, that I needed to confess all of my sins, constantly. I needed to do good work to please God- to gain His acceptance and His favor. In my mind…

an impossible task.

I remember my first act of rebellion as a child. Sitting in Catholic school class, having to listen to the priest and his same message that we needed to always repent because we were always sinners. In defiance I looked at him and challenged- “If I’m always a sinner then I’ll never be good enough! So, what’s the point!?” Like many other times that followed, I received no answer. Just detention.

My experience is exactly the kind of thoughts and memories that are shared by many others who have encountered or grew up with religion. Not just Christian, Catholic or Judaism but even those of eastern religions have experiences that don’t resonate with people. Without realizing, we poisoned ourselves and committed our lives to an endless carousel of: Why me? Where are you? Why have you abandoned me? Haven’t I proven I’m good enough? And round and round we go…

Now, what if I told you…

God has never wanted this for you?

You can heal yourself from this toxic condition?

That even when a storm of trouble hits, you could be calm and at peace?

Do you want this?

I want to gift you the foundation of really knowing who God is! Not an angry God or a religious God, but a God that loves me- that loves you- unconditionally! I want to share with you what I have learned about how God sees me- how he sees you- and knowing who you truly are!

Through the simple act of gratitude, you will see how changing your mind will transform your entire being. It will change your heart, your relationship with God, your ability to hear the Holy Spirit. It will impact the very fabric of your life. By seeing the world, God, yourself and your life through gratitude you will then learn your identity,

truly hear and see God.

I want to share my experience of how I changed from a rebellious Catholic, running away from an angry God, to now knowing God is already with me.  He is walking life with me, in me, as me, always.

Everything starts with a choice. That is up to you. I can show you how to renew your mind. Then you will find the Way, see the Truth, and live the Life you are meant to live.

Then, your journey really begins…
